  Those crazy J-dubs are getting aggressive

  while at work today one of my co-workers came into my office and laid some watchtowers on my desk.

  she knows that im a j-dub, faded, apostate, but ive explained to her about the whole deal of dfing and shunning and how for the purpose of my family ive just faded.

  but she was telling me that one of her clients is a j-dub and offered her some magazines and she kindly refused but the lady wouldnt let up (basically bullying her) and insisted on how much she would enjoy them, so my co-worker (to be nice) took them.

  Crushed, no. Hurt, yes.
  
  As humans we naturally tend to assign importance to what is said by those who are closest to us, and in an ex-cultist's case that can result in pain. But when I look in my eyes in the mirror - I mean really look - I know that I'm me and that I'm doing what I believe is best - that's something that no one else can take away.
  
  I think what hillary_step posted was good.
  
  Hope you're not crushed, H4O. Strength to you to recover if you are in pain.

  I have a theory regarding Elders

  there has been much talk about the reasons for the demise of the book study.

  the society claim rising gas/petrol prices, which of course is not the real reason.

  some here think its down to declining numbers of elders and those who are reaching out.

  I can see your point. Thinking back to the elders in my congregation and the one next to it, quite a few were certainly less than intellectually well off (some of those were nice people, in the main, though). An ex-JW friend of mine told me that he started to realise that the people who were telling him things from the platform weren't very clever. And if the elders appear to be "cleverer" than the rest that's got to be good for control of the masses.

  WT BOOKS - Clean out the literature room at the KH

  for those who are still active and have access in obtaining literature from the kingdom hall, would you do this?.

  to just give away literature, especially books, from the literature desk to force printing.. in giving away literature, especially the costlier books than magazines, it will force the wts to print more and use up assets.

  just give these books away at the doors.

  2. major organizational changes about to start rolling out, one is changes to the "service committee" and titles, po to be done away with, thats all i know for now.

  was told that if you are the sort of person that cant handle changes, you wont stay in the org for long.

  Overcoming deep depression....success stories??

  guys, for those who know me here, i apologize in advance for being such troublesome pain in the ass.

  i have had some scary low spots these past two years, and was imo on way too many meds.

  i really had a death wish for awhile, and do not want to revist that feeling.

  Have no experience of meds, oompa, but just wanted to say I enjoy your posts and enthusiasm here at JWD. Sorry life is so depressing for you at the moment, and that your situation is so tough.
  
  You're right - what you're going through is a depressing situation. But keep hope that your life will improve somehow. It can.

  this guy's brother works in a regenerative tissue laboratory and when he lost an inch of his finger his brother sent him "pixie dust" which cause his finger to grow back.
